Players' English Willow Bat
A proper player's bat — hand-picked English willow with big edges and a mid-to-low sweet spot, so it rewards drives and pull shots alike. It arrives semi-prepared, which means a little knocking-in turns it into a bat that lasts seasons.

Why it's good
The honest version
Big edges, big middle
A full profile and generous spine put wood behind the ball wherever you make contact, so mistimed shots still find the boundary more often.
Pickup that suits you
Four weight options mean you can match the bat to how you actually bat — quick hands or extra punch through the line.
Ready to knock in
Semi-prepared willow needs a little knocking-in, and from there it's built to last full seasons of proper cricket.

How to use & care
Keep it match-ready
Using it
- Knock in a new bat for at least 4–6 hours before full-pace nets.
- Start with a soft ball or bat mallet and build up gradually.
- Check the face regularly for surface cracking as you knock in.
- Avoid full-blooded shots until the bat feels properly seasoned.
Looking after it
- Apply a light coat of raw linseed oil before first use, then occasionally through the season.
- Store upright in a dry place, away from damp and direct heat.
- Never leave it in a hot car boot — Abu Dhabi summers will warp willow.
- Fit an anti-scuff sheet if you play a lot on abrasive surfaces.
